Transilvania IFF 2015 visual campaign

14.05.2015 17:36

The visual campaign of this year’s edition of Transilvania International Film Festival (May 29 – June 7) is created, for the second time, by the Romanian-British artists Anton Groves and Damian Groves. They conceived the poster and the official trailer, whose protagonist is Cristian Iorga, actor at the Northern Theatre in Satu Mare. Last year, the two were also responsible for the official trailer of the festival.

“With a special focus on ‘youth' for this year’s Transilvania IFF festival, we wanted to take a stab at the tech obsessed generation that doesn’t have time or the attention span for cinema consumption anymore. This is where the ‘spirit' of Transilvania IFF - represented by those black gloved hands - intervenes, opening the protagonist’s eyes to the world of cinema and reinterpreting the classic scene from ‘A Clockwork Orange’. This ‘aggression' continues in the promo, where the hands take our protagonist - Cristian Iorga - through an overwhelming flux of cinematic emotions”, explains Anton Groves.

The trailer is produced by Libra Film and Studioset. Director of photography: David Lee.

Anton and Damian Groves, half-British, have Romanian directors, make short films, videos and promotional clips for local and international clients. This year, Anton Groves, a graduate of the London Westminster University, will present his short film Lag in the Romanian Days section of Transilvania IFF. Previously, he competed in 2011 with Waste
