TICKETING POLICY TIFF 2016

The tickets for the 15th edition of Transilvania IFF will go on sale, online (www.biletmaster.ro), starting Friday, May 20th and from the TIFF Box Offices starting Monday, May 23rdat FLORIN PIERSIC Cinema (11, Mihai Viteazul Square), ARTA Cinema (3, Universitatii Street), VICTORIA Cinema (51, Eroilor Boulevard), CINEMA CITY IULIUS (53B, Alexandru Vaida Voevod Street), Casa TIFF (6, Universitatii Street – only for guests and accredited persons) and starting May 27th, in the Unirii Square, The MILITARY HOUSE (51, Eroilor Boulevard) and THE STUDENT’S CULTURAL HOUSE – CCS (1-3 Lucian Blaga Square).

Box Offices Opening Times:

Monday, May 23rd – Thursday, May 26th: 11:00 - 18:00;

Friday, May 27th – Sunday, June 5th:  09:00 – 23:00.

Ticket Prices as follows:

TICKETS PURCHASED IN ADVANCE (at least one day prior the screening)

Regular Advance Ticket (valid for one screening only): 10 lei

Discounted Ticket, for students and seniors: 8 lei (the ticket can be bought by showing a student ID or the pension coupon; the staff at the entrance will demand the above-mentioned documents).

TICKETS BOUGHT ON THE DAY OF THE SCREENING

Regular Same-Day Ticket (valid for only one screening) for all types of audience: 12 lei.

·         Tickets for Students and children: 8 lei (valid for the official screenings in the EDUCATIFF section)

·         Tickets for the Opening Ceremony: 30 lei* (Unirii Square Open Air, 27/05)

·         Tickets for Unirii Square Open Air screenings: 8 lei

·         Tickets for Măraști Cinema and Dacia Mănăștur Cinema: 8 lei

·         Tickets for the Kimmo Pohjonen (FIN) Concert: 25 lei*, after 01.05 – 30 lei* (Students’ Cultural House, 30.05)

·         Tickets for screenings and special events at Banffy Castle, Bonțida: 15 lei (Banffy Castle, 27.05-29.05)

·         Tickets for Zone Libre revisite 2001 Cine-concert (29.05) and A Hawk And A Hacksaw Cine-concert (31.05): 15 lei* (Students’ Cultural House)

·         Tickets for the concerts hosted at Casa TIFF: 15 lei*

·         Tickets for the concerts hosted at Urania Palace: 20 lei*

·         Tickets for the Closing Ceremony: 30 lei* (National Theatre, 04.06)

Access to The Films Warehouse screenings are free.

Tickets to all screenings taking place at FLORIN PIERSIC Cinema, ARTA Cinema, VICTORIA Cinema, UNIRII SQUARE OPEN AIR, Casa TIFF, THE STUDENT’S CULTURAL HOUSE (CCS), THE MILITARY HOUSE, CINEMA CITY IULIUS, THE FRENCH INSTITUTE CLUJ, MARASTI Cinema and DACIA MANASTUR Cinema can be purchased from the Festival Box Offices listed above during the aforementioned opening hours or online.

If it rains, the daily screening scheduled at 21.45 at UNIRII SQUARE OPEN AIR will take place at The Students’ Cultural House beginning 23.00. The tickets bought for the UNIRII SQUARE OPEN AIR screening will still be valid.

For the free screenings, a 0 value ticket is compulsory. These tickets are available at any TIFF Box Office. This excludes the screenings taking place at Mănăştur Open Air and The Films Warehouse, where there are no tickets to be purchased.

30 TIFF Cards, priced 300 lei each, will go on sale starting May 15th. In order to acquire a TIFF Card, please fill in the TIFFcard FORM and send it by e-mail along with the contact information and a recent photo at [email protected]. The card will be ready to pick up between 24-27th May from the Ticketing desk at Casa TIFF.

The card grants access to a total of 35 screenings, with the exception of the special events marked with asterisk (*). The card owner will be able to acquire tickets for any screening in the festival programme from all TIFF Box Offices, upon presentation of the said card and only if there still are seats available. The card owner has access to a maximum of 6 screenings per day and cannot acquire 2 tickets for the same screening. The TIFFcard does not guarantee access to cocktail parties, theatre shows, or concerts taking place within the festival.

10 GOLD Cards, priced 600 lei each, will go on sale starting May 15th. The GOLD card is valid throughout the festival and grants access to a total of 35 screenings, with the exception of the special events marked with asterisk (*). The card owner will be able to acquire tickets for any screening in the festival programme from all TIFF Box Offices, upon presentation of the said card and only if there are still seats available. The card owner has access to a maximum of 6 screenings per day and cannot acquire 2 tickets for the same screening. The GOLD card grants access to the official parties, except for the cocktail parties, press conferences, concerts or special events taking place within the festival.

In order to acquire this card, one must fill in the GOLD CARD FORM and send it by e-mail along with the contact information and a recent photo at [email protected]. Please mention GOLD CARD in the subject line. The card can be picked up between May 24-27th May, from the Ticketing desk at Casa TIFF.

Tickets in advance and during the festival period will be sold as follows:

Tickets for any film at any TIFF venue can be purchased from any TIFF Box Office or online through BILET MASTER (www.biletmaster.ro).

Before purchasing tickets online you need to register on the website www.biletmaster.ro with NAME, PHONE NUMBER, EMAIL ADRESS and PASSWORD. After filling in the required information, you will receive a registration confirmation to the email address. Your account is thus valid and can be used.

After checkout, you must select the BUY button to access the payment menu. In order to properly complete the payment phase and avoid possible inconveniences, you have to fill all your card information and contact details.

After completing the payment phase, you will receive a confirmation email containing the electronic ticket. Please print the ticket and use it to gain access to the screening. If you cannot print the ticket immediately, you can do it later, from the PERSONAL DATA menu.

Tickets purchased through the online system are subject to the same rules listed in the festival's ticketing policy.

TICKETS for the screenings scheduled at the French Institute Cluj, UNIRII SQUARE OPEN AIR, MARASTI Cinema, DACIA MANASTUR Cinema or for any other special events can be bought at the entrance of the above-mentioned locations, one hour before each screening. All accreditation holders need to collect theirs from any Box Office.

The TIFF staff will grant access to all TIFF badge-holders that did not get tickets 5 minutes before every screening, depending on the space available in the venues.

ATTENTION! Ticket holders arriving at the screening within 5 minutes of the beginning of the screening will not have seats guaranteed.

TIFF reserves the right to retain a certain number of seats for its guests up to 2 hours before the start of each screening. Afterwards, all reservations will be cancelled and the remaining tickets will be available for purchase at any TIFF Box Office.

The screenings marked in the TIFF Programme with Romanian Days or Special Screening are dedicated mainly to foreign and Romanian guests. TIFF will issue a limited number of tickets for these screenings. All bookings made ​​for guests will be cancelled two hours before said screenings and the remaining tickets will be offered for sale to the general public.
