Tereza, 77, receives an official government order to relocate to a senior housing colony. The colony is an isolated area where the elderly are brought to «enjoy» their final years, freeing the younger generation to focus fully on productivity and growth.
Shot over 20 years, Little Syria follows the quest of a brother, his sister and her boyfriend trapped between Syria, from where they ran for their lives, and Europe, which seems at times to embrace them and and then to push them back where they came from.
A mild-mannered care worker’s peaceful existence is disturbed when an intimidating party animal moves into the house next door. Subjected to endless sleepless nights, she is gradually drawn into an escalating war of attrition that will test her resolve and her sanity to the limit.
