TIFF.25 - 2026
TIFF is an annual event whose 25th edition will take place in Cluj-Napoca, Transylvania, between the 12th and 21st of June 2026. Each selected film will be screened at least twice. The screenings take place both in traditional movie theaters and in unconventional venues. A representative selection from the 2026 Transilvania IFF program will be subsequently shown in Bucharest, Sibiu, Timișoara, Oradea and other selected cities during TIFF Unlimited Caravan.
Ornella Muti, Ben Wheatley & Sam Riley are coming to Cluj-Napoca for the 25th edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (June 12–21, 2026). Ornella Muti will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the screening of Swann in Love. The public will have the opportunity to meet Ben Wheatley and Sam Riley at the screening of Bulk.
Aidan Gillen, the Irish actor whose career has spanned mainstream television and European independent cinema, will be joining the jury of the Official Competition at the Transilvania International Film Festival (June 12–21, 2026) in Cluj-Napoca. The festival will also screen two of his most recent films: Gorky Resort and Re-creation.
A defining name and face of Romanian cinema of the ’80s, actress Anda Onesa is set to receive the Excellence Award at the 25th edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (June 12–21, 2026, Cluj-Napoca). The actress will take the stage at the TIFF.25 Closing Gala, and audiences will also have the chance to meet her at the special screening of Septembrie (dir. Timotei Ursu, 1978), in which she starred when she was only 17.
