My Sweet Little Village

In honour of Czech director Jiří Menzel, distinguished with the Lifetime Achievement Awards at Transilvania IFF 2013, My Sweet Little Village will be screened at Florin Piersic Cinema, beginning with 20:45. This film is one of the most popular Czech comedies, nominated at the Oscars for Best Foreign Film in 1986. Before the screening, at 19:00, Jiří Menzel will present at TIFF Art (Art Museum) the exhibition „The films of Jiří Menzel in the Czech Poster”, containing 17 original posters from the unique Terry Posters collection in Prague (www.terry-posters.com). The event is organised with the support of the Czech Center in Bucharest.
