Transilvania Trophy, in ammount of 15.000 Euro, offered by the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR), goes to Norway: "Oslo, August 31st", directed by Joachim Trier.
Joachim Trier is the winner of Transilvania IFF 2012. The award was offered to Laurențiu Merișan, from Independența Film by actress Geraldine Chaplin and Horia- Roman Patapievici, director of Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR).
The second feature of the Norwegian director also won Best Screenplay Award. Written by Joachim Trier and Eskil Vogt, Oslo, August 31st is about a recovering drug addict who confronts his own past.
