Applications for Transilvania Talent Lab 2026 Are Now Open

Transilvania Talent Lab (TTL) is a program of the Transilvania International Film Festival (June 12–21, 2026), open to young filmmakers up to 35 years old – directors, screenwriters, or producers from Romania or the Republic of Moldova, with relevant academic background or industry experience.

Applications are open until April 30, 2026 and must be submitted online via Eventival.

The program will take place June 16–20, 2026, in Cluj-Napoca. Over five days, 10 participants will go through the stages of film development, attend TIFF screenings, seminars, and masterclasses on directing, screenwriting, production, funding, marketing, streaming platforms, and festival strategies, and discuss their projects with Romanian and international industry professionals.

The program is structured into three modules:

• Development (developing a film project)
• Production (producing a film project)
• Marketing / Distribution & Festivals

TTL was established 13 years ago to support emerging filmmakers and project development. Alumni include Ruxandra Ghițescu, Monica Stan, Marius Olteanu, Andreea Borțun, and Cristina Groșan.
