Katerina, a neurologist, and Yannis, a respected retired doctor, are on their way to an off-season seaside resort. It is a windy autumn day as they drive across the sand dunes. The silence pervading the car speaks to their unpleasant task: Yannis has been called to the hospital of a small town to identify the victim of a tragic accident. Details of the accident will prompt Katerina to put together the pieces of a puzzle to reveal a haunting story of love, loss, acceptance and letting go.
