"The eye of the tiger" - Sebastian Lelio returns to TIFF
An old friend of the festival, Sebastián Lelio, will return this year to Cluj within the framework of TIFF 2012 with his recent film El Año del Tigre/The Year of the Tiger
The film, screened last year in the competition of the Locarno Film Festival, is an “X-ray” of the city of Chile after the devastating earthquake in 2010. The main character is a prisoner who wanders about the country looking for his family, after the prison building collapsed turning him into a fugitive.
Sebastián Lelio is a habitué of TIFF: he won the Transylvania Trophy in 2007, with the film La Sagrada Familia. In 2008 he returned to TIFF as a member of the jury and in 2010 he won the FIPRESCI Prize for Navidad/ În Ziua de Crăciun/ On Christmas Day.
