Film and politics with Radu Preda and Cristian Tudor Popescu

Radu Preda, president of the Institute for the Investigation of Communist Crimes and the Memory of the Romanian Exile and journalist Cristian Tudor Popescu will participate Sunday, at 7 pm, in a debate on the Right to memory.

The event will be moderated by journalist Mihnea Măruță and will take place at Tiff Lounge, following the screening of the spanish film The Silence of Others/ El silencio de los otros (Dir. Almudena Carracedo, Rober Bahar), scheduled in the same day at Florin Piersic Cinema, from 3:30 pm. The documentary unravels the extraordinary struggle suffered by the victims of Franco's dictatorship, who still fight for justice and refuse to let crimes against humanity be forgotten.
