Cine-concert: Nopți Albe
A young geologist arrives in northern Norway on a scientific expedition that takes him far beyond its original purpose. In the Arctic tundra, where the daylight never ends, orientation becomes increasingly difficult, and the planned journey turns into a struggle for survival. Inspired by the novel by Willem Frederik Hermans, White Nights draws you into a tense journey that gradually becomes a search for the self.
Live music: Alex Simu and George Dumitriu
The film’s soundtrack (awarded the Gouden Kalf for Best Music) is reinterpreted live by two of the musicians involved in the original recording, Alex Simu and George Dumitriu. The two have collaborated consistently over the years, both in film music and in concert and interdisciplinary projects. Both are highly active on the international jazz scene and have worked with some of the genre’s most important artists.
