Márcia is a single mother with two children. She works as a cook and shares her house in the Lisbon suburbs with her sister, Ivete. One day, Cláudia, her daughter, tells her that she’s fallen in love with an older, married man. On meeting the man in question, Márcia realises that her family is in serious danger.
