Fitzcarraldo

Director:
Werner Herzog

Fitzcarraldo is the story of a dreamer who wishes to bring Grand Opera to the jungle. It is the story of a conqueror of the useless, of a man who transports an enormous steamship over a mountain from one river to another with the help of hundreds of Indians in order to gain possession of a yet unclaimed rubber-growing region.
