In the 16th century, the Romanians in a Transylvanian county discover by chance the treasure of Decebal, the Dacian king. The jewels are immediately sent to the pricipality of Moldavia, ruled by prince Petru Rareş, but the prince of Transylvania and the king of Hungary hire a band of mercenaries and order them to attack the messengeres and steal the treasure.
