Book to screen

Book to Screen is a new program hosted during the Transilvania International Film Festival (June 12–21, 2026), dedicated to exploring the cinematic potential of books written by Romanian authors. The program is open to authors, book publishers, and Romanian directors.

Book to Screen aims to facilitate direct interaction between the publishing and audiovisual sectors, contributing to an increase in the number of adaptations and strengthening collaboration between authors, publishers, and film and television professionals. It provides a professional framework in which literary works can be presented, developed, and transformed into film projects, bringing together rights holders, authors, producers, directors, and screenwriters interested in contemporary literature.

Romanian authors, publishers, and directors are eligible to apply for the program. Applications must be submitted online through the Eventival platform. To apply, create an account here
