The second edition of Full Moon Creative Lab, a project dedicated to screenwriters specializing in genre TV series - thriller, horror, and fantasy - has ended the selection phase and identified three projects to be creatively developed over the course of three residencies. The Transilvania International Film Festival initiative is co-financed by the European Union and the first residency is scheduled to take place in December 2024 in Transylvania.
The open call for Full Moon Creative Lab’s second edition was launched in June, during the 23rd edition of Transilvania IFF. 12 screenwriters were selected by the jury, from more than 80 submissions.
The three selected projects are:
Normal Porn For Normal People - Hiram Harrington (Ireland)
Marciban - Zsuzsanna Bak (Hungary)
Under the Mountain - Madeleine Feret Fleury (France)
During the creative residencies, the screenwriters mentioned above will be joined by 9 others from Romania, Germany, Estonia, Bulgaria and Croatia: Matthias Börner (Germany), Lisa Brunke (Germany), Eve Tisler (Estonia), Filip Columbeanu (Romania), Iveta Stavreva (Bulgaria), Eva Todică (Romania), Daria Stilin (Croatia), Joona Kivirinta (Finlanda), Mile Božičević (Croatia).
Producer Eilon Razkovsky (Israel), scriptwriter & producer Arnaud Louvet (France) and scriptwriter and creative producer Michaela Sabo (Slovakia) are among the facilitators and mentors that will meet the participants during the residencies in December 2024, March and June 2025.
The program will end up with a pitching session at the Transilvania International Film Festival (June 2025), where influential industry professionals such as producers, sales agents, television representatives, and major streaming platform representatives will provide opportunities for projects to secure market support
Full Moon Creative Lab represents an annual creative workshop held in Transylvania, offering screenwriters the opportunity to enhance their skills while surrounded by international industry experts. The project aims to improve the creative process for screenwriters by connecting talented filmmakers from all EU countries.
