Works in Progress

The Works in Progress program is being launched as a new platform at Transilvania International Film Festival (12-21 June) developed in partnership with HBO. The initiative offers filmmakers the chance to present films currently in post-production to international industry professionals and connect with sales agents, distributors or festival representatives to enhance the projects’ visibility.

For its first edition, Romanian filmmakers are invited to submit a 20-30 minute cut of a feature film that has not yet premiered (nationally or internationally). Selected projects will compete for the Transilvania HBO Award (€30,000 EUR) which may be granted to one or two projects, depending on the jury’s decision.

The program will take place in Cluj-Napoca as part of TIFF RO Days | Industry Events, one of the most important meeting points for film professionals. Screenings will be reserved exclusively for invited industry guests and each will be followed by a five-minute presentation from the director or producer, offering further insight into the project.
