The Book to Screen program, developed by Matca Literară together with ProTV and Voyo, reaches its 5th edition this year and will take place within RO Industry Days (June 17–21, 2026), in partnership with the Transilvania International Film Festival.

The program facilitates collaboration between the publishing and audiovisual sectors, supporting the development of film adaptations and partnerships between authors, publishers, and film and television professionals. Book to Screen brings together authors, producers, directors, and screenwriters interested in contemporary literature and its adaptation potential for film and television series.

Out of the 57 submitted applications, 6 books with potential for film or series adaptation were selected. The authors will deliver a 5-minute pitch before a panel of experts, as well as in front of guests attending RO Industry Days, on June 19.

PRESENTATIONS WILL BE IN ROMANIAN.

The winning projects will be chosen following the presentations, while the awards and ceremony details will be announced closer to the festival.
