Continuing the project carried out between 2010 and 2012, Petruț Călinescu returns with a new series of photographs that bear witness to the transformation of villages in northern Romania, particularly in Țara Oașului. The increasing migration of Romanian peasants, who have left to work abroad, is visible not only through their absence but also through the concrete houses that replace the traditional ones. The exhibition aims to dismantle the myth of the perpetually idyllic and conservative Romanian village and to showcase the reality of the rural environment in the country.
