Grandpa's Watch

Director:
Alex Levy Heller

Filmed in Brazil, Poland, Israel, Romania and Hungary, the documentary tells the story of immigrants, Holocaust survivors, who established themselves in Brazil after the WWII. The director goes on a journey to his grandfather's homeland, Transylvania, in search for an old watch his grandpa hid before the Nazis came to take the family to Auschwitz Concentration Camp. The search for the watch becomes a metaphor for the search of his origins and identity.
