10 for FILM – Second Edition
The second edition of the 10 for FILM program, initiated last year by the Transilvania International Film Festival will promote, between June 6 and 8, within Romanian Days, another batch of 10 talented theatre actors.
10 for FILM intends to introduce new faces in the Romanian cinema and focuses on actors who made their marks in theatre but who are yet to prove their worth in cinema. The selection focuses on actors of all ages who’ve never appeared in films or who had only minor roles in domestic productions. The actors will benefit prom free publicity – brochures, professional photographs and videos – , will attend workshops and meetings and will be introduced to audiences, press and industry people (directors, Romanian and foreign producers, casting directors and agencies).
The 10 for FILM selection was made by a group of theatre and film professionals: Tudor Giurgiu (director/producer), theatre critics Oltiţa Cîntec, Cristina Rusiecki, Oana Stoica, Cristiana Gavrilă, Andreea Iacob (playwright and theatre director) and Răzvan Penescu (coordinator of the LiterNet website).
The actors selected for the second edition are: Claudia Ardelean (“Andrei Mureşanu” Theatre – Sfântu Gheorghe), Balázs Bodolai (Hungarian Theatre – Cluj-Napoca), Eliza Noemi Judeu (“George Bacovia” Theatre – Bacău), Nicoleta Lefter (Odeon Theatre - Bucharest), Călin Stanciu Jr. (Timisoara National Theatre), Rareș Florin Stoica (UNATC BA student), Silvia Török (German Theatre – Timişoara), Mihaela Trofimov (“Maria Filotti” Theatre – Brăila), Cătălin Vieru (”Marin National Theatre – Craiova), Irina Wintze (National Theatre - Cluj).
