In 1989 Romania suffered a coup d'état. The secret police knew what was coming and had time to prepare. In order to quickly develop the skills that the free market rewards, they set up a secret project for psychological engineering using experimental techniques. The Bucureşti Experiment is the first ever exposé of what really took place in 1989.
