The program will consist of three parts: Screenings and Debates, EducatTiff- Young Film Critics, and this year’s surprise- Film workshop – an interactive experience in a mobile film studio brought by courtesy of the Danish Film Institute.
The mobile studio is called Studio-Y, and it will be at Cluj, no.30 Piata Unirii, between June 1st and June.17th. The participants will take part at an immersing educative and cinematic experience. They will they will work together- directing, acting, editing and composing original music- for a project that they will be able to take home with them.
There will be 3 screening during May 23-25, chosen regarding to the age of the young school kids attending also available for EducaTiff Young Critics.
The 3 selected movies will be:
- The Great Bear, (Denmark, 2011, 75 min, animation) age 8+
- Our School ( USA – Switzerland – Romania, 2011, 94 min, documentary) age 11+
- Crulic- The Path to Beyond (Romania, 2011, 73 min, animation-documentary) age 15+
EducaTIFF started in 2009 with the purpose to attract the young public passion towards movies. As a recognition, the program was first Romanian program selected for Europa Cinema’s Young Audience Seminar in Bologna and was awarded Best Educational Project at Education Awards Gala, 2011.
