On Tuesday, the 1st of June, at the UBB Auditorium, at 20:30 h, the event-screening series of the ninth edition continues with the film that opens the Israel Focus Section: Lebanon, directed by Samuel Maoz. Winner of the Golden Lion in Venice Film Festival in 2009, the film tells the story of four young men caught in the net of an absurd and unfair war, losing their innocence in a brutal way. The film screening will take place in the presence of director Samuel Maoz, of His Excellency, The Ambassador of the State of Israel at Bucharest, Mr. Oren David, of Katriel Schory, executive manager of Israel Film Fund, Costel Safirman, director of Jerusalem Cinema House, Jay Weissberg, well-knwon film critic from Variety and also curator of the Israel Focus Section at TIFF and the director of another film from the Israel Focus Section.
