Silent film screenings

16.02.2010 02:00

It is already a tradition for TIFF to include one or several event screenings of silent films accompanied by live music. This year, the absolute highlights will be the European premiere of Gary Lucas' new score for the cult Spanish‐language Dracula (1931, d. George Melford) and the showing of the restored version of Fritz Lang's Metropolis, with an original score by Antonio Bras (DJ, musician and media artist). The new soundtrack, a world premiere, will be first heard in an event co-organized by TIFF and The German Cultural Center of Cluj.

Romanian Days - Bigger, better & uncut

Organizers will also host a presentation of Regional Funds existing in Europe as to foster the creation of the First Romanian fund, Transilvania Film Fund, also in the frame of the 2010 Romanian Days.
