The deadline for submissions at the TIFF Competition for professional and non-professional filmmakers from Cluj is now extended.
Professional and non-professional filmmakers based in Cluj may submit their films by May 15 (the new deadline for receiving submissions); films on any subject are welcomed, with the maximum length of 30 minutes, in one of the following formats: DVD, Beta, Digibeta, MiniDV or DVCAM. The submitted films must have been completed between June 7th 2009 and May 1st 2010 and they also need to be subtitled or dubbed in Romanian. The films together with the filled in application form must be sent to The Paint Brush Factory/Fabrica de pensule: Str. Henri Barbusse, nr. 59-61, Cluj Napoca. On every envelope should be specified: For the TIFF Cluj Artists' Competition.
The Competition is meant for amateur and professional filmmakers alike, presently living, working or studying anywhere inside Cluj County.
The films entered in this TIFF powered Competition will be screened throughout the whole period of the festival in the most recent exhibition space in Cluj – The Paint Brush Factory (Fabrica de Pensule) – and the best work from the Cluj Artists' Competition will be awarded 1500 Euros. Besides the Grand Prize, a Special Mention will also be awarded to the film that most creatively explores the subject of public space.
