The traditional Hungarian Day held in the frame of Transilvania IFF, June 2nd, is preparing two exclusive surprise screenings of the most acclaimed Hungarian films of the year.

Member of the Transilvania IFF jury in 2009 and a regular of the Cluj-Napoca festival, Szabolcs Hajdu returns with his latest feature, selected this year in the Berlinale Forum, Bibliothèque Pascal, presenting the surrealistic story of a woman taken abroad by force, and her struggle to give her little girl a decent living. Partially shot in Romania, Bibliothèque Pascal is starring some of the iconic Romanian film actors: Razvan Vasilescu, Oana Pellea, Andi Vasluianu, Florin Piersic Jr., Mihai Constantin, Dorel Visan, Mihai Calin.

The surprise screening is scheduled for 18:00 o'clock, in Cinema Republica, in the presence of director Szabolcs Hajdu, and Romanian star Andi Vasluianu.

Frankenstein Project, directed by and starring another veteran of the TIFF Hungarian Day, Kornel Mundruczo, is another Hungarian hit to be seen in Cinema Echinox, starting 21:30 o'clock. Included in the official competition of the Cannes Film Festival this year, Frankenstein Project tells the story of a 19 year-old boy who leaves the boarding school to return to his family. He tries to reconnect with his close ones, but he is meant to fail.
