Alexandrina Hristov, a native of Chisinau, Moldova became famous after moving to Bucharest, in 2006. The year before, she was one of the protagonists of Trois femmes de Moldavie, a film directed by Paul Cuzuioc with a soundtrack featuring some of the artist's songs.
The success of the album "Om de Lut", featuring famous songs such as "Printre flori", "Fata merge pe jos", "Noi 2," "De cand am plecat", propelled her on the stages of Romania's major music festivals such as Garana Jazz Festival or Transylvania International Film Festival. Alexandrina also played in London, Paris, Nantes, Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Her second album, „Flori de spin” gave hits such as „Orașul Umbre”, featured on the soundtrack of HBO Romania's Umbre, „Pijamale reci” and „Te iubesc”. In the past two years, Alexandrina was part of the line-up of a series of festivals such as Green Sound Festival, Untold and Airfield.
In her live, memorable, appearances which combine traditional and electronic instruments, Alexandrina is accompanied by five musicians from Timisoara.
