Ali Deac
Born on August 16, 1985.
In 2008, Ali Deac graduated Acting at the Faculty of Letters and Arts in Sibiu, Romania, class of Professor George Ivaşcu. One year later, at the Hop Young Actor’s Gala, he was awarded the Audience Award for the play “Clişee” directed by Barbara Crişan.
He is an actor of “Radu Stanca” National Theatre in Sibiu, Romania, where he started acting in 2008. He has worked with various stage directors such as Silviu Purcărete, Alexandru Dabija, Gigi Căciuleanu, Lia Bugnar, Victor Ioan Frunză, Geanina Cărbunariu, Șerban Puiu and Radu Afrim.
He attended international Drama Festivals in Frankfurt and Edinburgh, playing in “Faust” staged by Silviu Purcarete and, most recently, the Festival d’Avignon, playing in “Solidarity” staged by Gianina Cărbunariu.
Current projects: acting in “Tatoo”, “Bizoni” and “Girafe” staged by Radu Afrim, at the “Radu Stanca” National Theatre in Sibiu, in “Mozart Steps” – a choreographic performance by Gigi Căciuleanu, and in “Solidaritate” / Solidarity staged by Gianina Cărbunariu.
