Concerts at Transilvania IFF 25

Founded in 2010 by Robin Proca, Robin and the Backstabbers has established itself as one of the most relevant alternative rock bands in Romania. Defining their style as “melodramatic pop,” the band blends eclectic rock influences with a distinctive lyrical universe and a recognisable sonic identity.

Over the years, they have built a coherent artistic trajectory, widely appreciated by both audiences and critics, with the Bacovia Overdrive trilogy remaining a defining milestone. Its epilogue, Vladivostok (2019), further confirmed their reputation for ambitious productions and powerful live performances.

Gramofone is a four-piece band blending jazz, electro, and rock into a contemporary, eclectic sound. Known for their independent spirit and interest in visual and technological innovation, they have developed experimental multimedia projects and had their music featured in advertising campaigns and documentaries.

In 2019, they opened the concert of Bon Jovi in Romania, a key moment in their artistic journey. Drawing influences ranging from Jungle and Arctic Monkeys to Pink Floyd and ABBA, the band stands out on Romania’s new alternative music scene.

Kazdoura is a duo formed in Toronto by Syrian vocalist Leen Hamo and Lebanese multi-instrumentalist John Abou Chacra. Their name, meaning “a stroll” in Levantine Arabic, reflects a musical universe at the intersection of Arabic tradition, psychedelia, funk, and soul.

Their debut album Ghoyoum surpassed one million streams and earned major recognition in Canada, including the 2026 JUNO Award for Global Music Album of the Year and the Canadian Folk Music Award for Global Roots Album of the Year.

Kazdoura has performed in Canada, the UK, and Egypt, and appeared at international showcases such as WOMEX, Mundial Montréal, and APAP, while currently working on their second album.

Diximus & the Space Nebula is a modern jazz group from Cluj-Napoca, featuring Oscar Ungvari (electric guitar), Diximus (vibraphone), László Sándor (bass), and Frankie Ercsei (drums). Formed in 2024, the project explores original compositions combining jazz, classical music, and world music influences.

Their sound is defined by the interplay between vibraphone and electric guitar, supported by a dynamic rhythm section, resulting in a cinematic and introspective atmosphere. Their debut album Floating Thoughts was released in autumn 2024.

In 2025, the band reached the finals of Jazz in the Park and performed at several Romanian festivals, establishing themselves as a rising name in the local contemporary jazz scene.

Antonia Vai is a singer, songwriter, and producer with Swedish and Hungarian roots, known for blending pop, folk, jazz, and soul influences. Her music is marked by intimate, poetic songwriting and atmospheric storytelling.

Based in Budapest since 2013, she has performed at major festivals such as Sziget, Eurosonic Noorderslag, Elbjazz Festival, and Zandari Festa. In 2016, she was nominated for Songwriter of the Year in Hungary and has opened for artists such as Selah Sue and Yasmine Hamdan.

She is currently preparing a new album and an international tour, launching in 2026 with a special show at the Hungarian House of Music in Budapest.

Vibrant is a musical project blending electronic and acoustic elements, analog synths, and live instrumentation, drawing inspiration from folk rhythms, oriental motifs, and Byzantine music.

Built as a collective experiment, the project focuses on immersive, evolving soundscapes where improvisation plays a key role. Each performance moves from ambient, contemplative passages toward rhythm-driven reinterpretations designed for dance and movement. 

Charlotte Colace is a singer and songwriter with French and Cuban roots, based in Berlin and active on the local soul and jazz scene. Her voice combines soulful sensitivity with contemporary influences, exploring themes of love, loss, and resilience.

She has collaborated and performed with artists such as Omah Lay, Nick Hakim, and Noah Slee, and appears live with a seven-piece band, turning each concert into an intense, high-energy experience.

Her debut project No Way But Through, produced with Tremendous Aron, marks a new artistic chapter in modern, emotionally driven soul music. 

Vlad Corb is a Transylvanian-born artist and songwriter currently studying acting at UNATC Bucharest. He began producing music in 2018, gaining attention through SoundCloud releases rooted in indie and alternative rock.

His debut album Teenage Requiem introduced him to the local scene, followed in 2024 by Orfeu, his first Romanian-language success. Influenced by Radiohead, Muse, and Jeff Buckley, he builds a melancholic and expressive universe at the intersection of rock, folk, and indie.

OZMA is one of the key names in contemporary French jazz. Founded in Strasbourg and led by drummer Stéphane Scharlé, the quintet has over twenty years of activity, eight albums, and more than 600 concerts across 43 countries.

Their music blends rock energy, electronic textures, and jazz freedom into an accessible yet exploratory sound. They are also known for interdisciplinary projects, including multimedia concerts, photo-concerts, and film-concerts inspired by cinematic works.

OZMA will also perform the live score for the cine-concert Paris qui dort, where Stéphane Scharlé uses augmented drums and live looping to create an electronic-acoustic soundtrack.
