Famous art director received The Excellency Award during the Closing Ceremony of Transilvania IFF 2012
Born in 1942, Helmut Stürmer finished over 200 films, plays, and operas. He colaborated with Théatre de la Ville-Paris, Opera-Karlsruhe, Opera-Bonn, Vienna State Opera, and Royal Shakespeare Company.
Helmut Stürmer was the art director for important Romanian films. He’s collaboration includes titles like: Beyond the Sands (d. Radu Gabrea), Astray (d. Alexandru Tatos) and his most recent work, Somewhere in Palilula, directed by Silviu Purcărete. This last film is present in the competition for Romanian Days Award for Feature Film at Transilvania IFF.
