5 series or mini-series projects in development have been selected for the third edition of the Drama Room programme, and their creators are preparing to meet the experts invited to Transilvania IFF.22 from June 13 to 17. Over 30 projects have been registered for the programme.

Film producer Eilon Ratzkovsky is the lead tutor of the Drama Room 2023 programme, designed specifically to help creators hone their show production skills and understand the dynamics of the international market. With a career spanning more than 25 years, Ratzkovsky has produced feature films and TV series in Israel and around the world. In recent years, he has been a tutor for TorinoFilmLab and Biennale College Cinema.

The Drama Room program will consist of panels led by leading film industry experts as well as applied feedback sessions. The experts who will meet with participants are producers Saar Yogev (Israel), Johnathan Young and Ioanina Pavel.

In the final days of the programme, participants will present their projects in a pitch session open to industry professionals, and the best project will be awarded the Best Series Project Award, consisting of a development agreement signed with PRO TV, one of the programme partners. The jury that will choose the best project includes Gabriela Iacob (Head of Scripted Content Development, PRO TV), Bogdan Mirică (writer/director) and Anthony Muir (Senior Executive for International Co-Productions, Film i Väst).

Drama Room is a program initiated by the Transilvania International Film Festival in 2021 and dedicated to directors, writers and producers interested in making series or miniseries. The organisers aim to provide Romanian filmmakers with the resources they need to access the series production industry, which has been so prolific in recent years, by guiding them both in the development of original content and in the financing of projects.
