After 11 days, marking the longest edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (June 14 – 24, Cluj-Napoca), the organizers announce the event's figures.
In the 23rd year of TIFF, which debuted spectacularly in Unirii Square, 125,000 locals from Cluj, tourists, and guests attended the festival events: hundreds of film screenings, cine-concerts and concerts, exhibitions, special screenings, and meetings with Romanian and international filmmakers.
Over 1,000 Romanian and international guests – filmmakers, screenwriters, producers, or actors – participated in the screenings, as well as in the RO Days | Industry Events programs dedicated to industry professionals.

The Transilvania Trophy, worth 10,000 euros, went to the Indian film Girls Will Be Girls. The debut film of director Shuchi Talati explores what it means to be a woman in a strict and oppressive environment through the coming-of-age story of a teenage girl from a boarding school in the Himalayas, whose mother does not seem to have experienced maturity either.
Jojo T. Gibbs, one of the most promising emerging actresses, was special guest at the 23rd edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (June 14-24, 2024, Cluj-Napoca). She also attended the festival's Opening Gala, where the latest film directed by Luc Besson, Dogman, was screened.
Considered one of the most important contemporary Italian filmmakers, Daniele Luchetti received the Special Award for Contribution to World Cinema. Daniele Luchetti was present at TIFF with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute in Bucharest.
