The Blue Star

Director:
Javier Macipe

The 1990s. Mauricio, a famous Spanish rock musician, crosses Latin America seeking to reconnect with his vocation. There he meets Don Carlos, an elderly musician going through hard times who, despite having written some of his country’s most famous folk songs, can hardly pay his bills. Carlos kindly takes in the strange visitor, also acting as his musical Master Miyagi. Together they form an outlandish Quixote-style duo, with all the makings of total commercial failure.
