Arnaud Louvet is a French screenwriter and producer based in Florence, Italy. He is currently developing a biopic about Marcel Marceau, the famous French mime, written by Palme d’Or winners Thomas Bidegain and Noé Debré, and directed by Pierre Schoeller. He is also engaged as a writer in serial projects for platforms, ranging from crime shows to period pieces.
As a producer, he has developed a range of award-winning films and shows for ARTE, SVT and Canal +. Notable titles include ‘’Lady Chatterley’’ by Pascale Ferran, winner of five Cesar Awards including Best Film 2007, the mini-series “Virage Nord” by Virginie Sauveur, winner of the Best Series prize at the Festival de la Fiction La Rochelle 2014, the adaptation of “Pauline and François”, the first feature film of Renaud Fély. Together with the latter, he co-directed his self-penned feature film ‘’Brotherhood’’ in 2016.
As a commissioning editor for ARTE’s Drama Department from 1998 to 2006, he commissioned more than 100 feature-length TV dramas by filmmakers such as Claire Denis, Abderrahmane Sissako, Arnaud Desplechin and Laurent Cantet.
In partnership with the Series Mania Institute and the Cinefondation Cannes IFF, Arnaud is also actively supporting the training of the next generation of film and TV talent.
