Amarcord

Director:
Federico Fellini

A small northern Italian coastal town in the late 1930s. We meet Titta, a teenager boy surrounded by his family: his adolescent brother, his ever supportive mother who is always defending him against his father, his freeloading maternal uncle Lallo, and his paternal grandfather who slyly has eyes and hands for the household maid. Over one year, we see them minding their own business, while Italy is increasingly affected by the rise of Benito Mussolini and Fascism.
