A Funny Man
Opening in the seductive style of the sixties, A Funny Man uncovers the perennial loneliness that comedian Dirch Passer (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) has found himself in after a fast-tracked rise to fame. Dirch Passer was second-to-none on the Danish scene, in revue theatre and on film. He was in the league of Dean Martin, Lenny Bruce, Andy Kaufman. But he was also blinded by his own success, and he let down his family, his children, his best friend and not least himself in his efforts to be seen, understood and loved.
