Discotecă reconnects Romania’s hyped clubs of the day with a fascinating and lesser-known musical history, reconfiguring the contexts in which Romanian dance music has interacted with its audiences, through a series of shows by locals stars of pop music from previous decades and through DJ sets comprised entirely of local music. At Transilvania IFF, Discotecă brings this year a star launched in the 70s – Stela Enache, and on launched in the 80s – Silvia Dumitrescu. Over time, the two have collaborated on their hits with composers such as Adrian Enescu, Virgil Popescu, Mircea Tiberian, Florin Bogardo etc.
