Masterclass Sebastian Lelio

Sebastián Lelio is a Chilean director. In 2006 he completed his first film La Sagrada Familia which was released in San Sebastián. The film received a total of 28 awards and many international recognition. His second film, Navidad, was written at the Cannes Film Festival’s La Résidence and made its debut in 2009 at Cannes Quinzaine des réalisateurs. El Año del Tigre, his third feature, was released at the international competition of Locarno in 2011. In 2012, he was distinguished with the Guggenheim Fellowship and received the support of DAAD Berliner Künstlerprogramm for the development of his new projects. His fourth Feature film, Gloria, recieved the Cine in Construcción award in San Sebastán film festival 2012, and was premiered in the 63rd international competition of Berlin film festival 2013, where it became a critic and audience success and received the Ecumenic and the Gilde award and was distinguished with a Silver Bear for best actress. Currently he's working on his fifth feature film which has been supported by Berlinale's residency 2013.
