A fascinating presentation of the history of 3D, held by Stefan Droessler, director of the Munich Filmmuseum and one of the most famous experts in the evolution of the stereoscopic image, will walk the audience from the beginnings of cinema to the Steven Spielberg's era. The event will take place on Saturday, June 7, from 3 PM, at Cinema Florin Piersic."The Short Story of 3D Film”, presented at TIFF with the support of the Goethe institute, will encompass lesser known examples and images such as the ones created by Max Skladanowsky, Georges Méliès or brothers Lumière, followed by explanations about the technology as such and the challenges it was confronted with through the years. The price for one ticket is 10 lei if bought in advance and 12 lei if bought in the day of the event. Students and retired people have special ticket prices of 8 lei.
