Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) invites the filmmakers to submit their projects in development for the eighth edition of the Transilvania Pitch Stop co-production platform, which will be held between June 15th – 17th 2023 in Cluj-Napoca.
Deadline for entries: April 6th, 2023.
Participants will be informed of the selection results no later than April 20th, 2023.
The director and the producer of the selected projects will be invited to Cluj during the Transilvania International Film Festival, for the presentation and public support of the projects in front of the potential partners and financiers, individual meetings and discussions on the selected projects.
The application process takes place online and all materials should be presented in English. In order to submit a project, it is necessary to create an account on the Eventival platform at this link: https://vp.eventival.com/tiff/2023/film-form/tps_coproduction_2023
Application consists of:
- Application form: project title (original and English version), contact details director and producer, logline, synopsis (up to one page) , director’s statement, biography and filmography, producer’s biography and filmography, link for director’s previous work samples (e.g vimeo link with password)
- Treatment (max 10 pages)
- Financial plan in Euros and secured financing
- Production schedule

1. Who can apply for TPS co-production platform?
The program is open to feature-length fiction film projects of 1st and 2nd time filmmakers coming from Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraine, Republic of Moldova, Greece, Turkey and Georgia.
The project can be in different stages of development, but a first draft of the script must be available if selected.
The project must have at least 20% of the budget secured.
To be eligible, projects must be designed from the outset as a European co-production, both artistically and financially.
2. How does TPS work?
A selection committee will be nominated and 10 feature film projects will be invited for TPS.
Once a project is selected, the director and producer are invited for the TIFF industry events.
Attending public presentations, one-to-one meetings and discussions, either online or physically, is mandatory.
All participating projects will be showcased in a projects' booklet.
All awarded projects must be mentioned in their ending credits: “presented in the Transilvania Pitch Stop” together with the official logo. The logo will be sent upon request.
