Sunday, June 3 at 20.00, at Cinema Victoria, the American actress will meet the audience before the screening of the short film The Sea is All I Know. Directed by Jordan Bayne, the film is the story of an estranged couple that enters a spiritual crisis when confronted with the slow death of their daughter. The 28 minutes short will be screened before the feature David (d. Joel Fendelman).
Monday June 4, at 10.30, Melissa Leo will star in a masterclass on film acting in the frame of Transilvania Talent Lab, at Napoca 15. The event is open to the public and to the press.
Thursday, June 7 at 10.00 a marathon screening will show Mellisa Leo together with Kate Winslet, Evan Rachel Wood and Guy Pearce in the TV mini-series Mildred Pierce at Cinema Arta.
Starring in more than 100 films, Mellisa Leo gained her place in Hollywood after playing the role of Ray Eddy in the multi-awarded independent film Frozen River (d. Courtney Hun). Her career started with roles in TV series such as All My Children, The Young Riders and Homicide: Life on the Street, Law & Order before the acclaimed performances in 21 Grames (d. Alejandro González Iñárritu), Frozen River (d. Courtney Hunt) or The Fighter (d. David O. Russell).
Melissa Leo is now in Romania for the shooting of The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman (r. Fredrik Bond) at Media Pro Studios. The American actress stars in this film together with Shia LaBeouf, Evan Rachel Wood and Mads Mikkelsen.
